In the world of fluoropolymer manufacturing, "resistance" is usually the headline—resistance to acids, heat, and aging. But for injection molding engineers, the real battle often takes place inside the mold.
When manufacturing intricate valve components, thin-walled fittings, or complex sensor housings, standard viscosity resins can struggle to fill the mold cavity completely. This leads to high rejection rates due to short shots, flow lines, or warping.
FluorinChem introduces the PVDF Pellet SF-F22E-2, a high-flow grade specifically engineered to bridge the gap between extreme chemical durability and superior processability.

The defining characteristic of the SF-F22E-2 grade is its optimized Melt Flow Rate (MFR) of 8–13 g/10min 230℃/5kg. Compared to standard grades, this higher flow rate offers three distinct production advantages:
Fill Complex Geometries: It easily flows into thin ribs, undercuts, and intricate threads of valve bodies that lower-MFR resins might fail to fill.
Reduced Cycle Times: Improved flow allows for lower injection pressures and potentially faster cooling times, boosting your overall output.
Surface Finish: High fluidity ensures better contact with the mold surface, resulting in a glossy, defect-free finish that requires less post-processing.
Despite its improved processability, SF-F22E-2 retains the legendary chemical inertness of Polyvinylidene Fluoride. Prepared via VDF emulsion polymerization, it maintains a tight molecular structure that resists permeation.
Key Technical Specs:
Melting Point: 164–172℃
Tensile Yield Strength: ≥35 MPa
Hardness: 76–80 Shore D
Water Absorption: ≤0.05%
This makes it the material of choice for components exposed to aggressive fluids, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and bromines, typically found in semiconductor and chemical processing plants.
While SF-F22E-2 is a champion in injection molding, its unique properties also make it suitable for specific extrusion applications.
Precision Valve Parts: Butterfly valve discs, ball valve seats, and diaphragms that require tight dimensional tolerances.
Pipe Fittings: Elbows and tees with complex internal fluid paths.
Wire & Cable Insulation: Its electrical insulation properties and processability make it an excellent candidate for jacketing in harsh industrial environments.
